The process of transferring heat from outside to inside
Air Source Heat Pumps, or ASHPs consist of a fan, a heat exchanger and a compressor.
A fan sucks in air from the surrounding environment.
The heat exchanger then extracts heat from that air, even in extremely cold temperatures (5 to -20°C).
The compressor then increases the temperature of that extracted heat so that it can be used to heat space or hot water.
